1. How to Pass KTET Exam Easily? Simple Study Tips for Beginners


For the KTET exam, out of 150 questions, you need to get at least 82 correct answers. To achieve this, it's necessary to study some essential topics. The subjects to be studied for the KTET exam are Psychology, Mathematics-Evs /Social Science(60 mark),  Malayalam, and English.

Each subject carries 30 marks.
You should aim to score full marks in the subject you are most confident in.

Child Development and Pedagogy (Psychology) is a subject that is relatively easier to learn and often familiar to many, so you should prepare well to score full marks in it.

After that, those interested in Mathematics or EVS can choose those subjects. Alternatively, if you find that you can score better in Social Science, you may choose that instead.

If you're able to score more marks from subjects like Malayalam and English, then prioritize those questions first, gain maximum marks there, and write the remaining subjects accordingly.

If you can score full marks in two subjects and at least 22 marks combined from the remaining subjects, then you're KTET is ready.

4. KTET Repeated Questions and Smart Exam Tricks

You will get 2½ hours (150 minutes) for the KTET exam, which means you have roughly 1 minute per question. So, managing your time efficiently is key to scoring high.

Here are some smart strategies for success:

  • Start with the easiest subject: Write the answers for subjects you find easy first.
  • Then attempt high-scoring subjects: Choose subjects you are confident in, where you can score well.
  • Leave the toughest subject for last: Tackle the subject that takes the most time and effort at the end.
  • Attend all 150 questions: Don't skip any question. Attempting all gives you a better chance of scoring more.

Time-saving OMR strategy:

  • At the beginning, both the question paper and OMR sheet will be with you.
  • Read the 30 questions of your chosen subject quickly.
  • For each question, if you know the answer, put a small dot mark on the corresponding option in the OMR sheet.
  • After marking all 30 this way, go back and shade all answers properly in one go.
  • Repeat the same process for the next subject — read, mark with dots, then shade them together.

If you get stuck on a question, don’t waste time thinking too long — move on to the next.
